Stefano Usberghi is an award winning cinematographer and director. Alumnus of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Stefano got his first nomination for Best Cinematography at Camerimage Festival in 2022 with the feature ‘Sons Of Cain’, premiered at Venezia 78’ (Giornate Degli Autori). Stefano previous works has been shortlisted in international film festivals, including: TIFF, La Biennale Di Venezia, Tampere Film Festival, David Di Donatello, Rhode Island, Big Sky and many others. Stefano’s refined aesthetic caught the attention of high-end brands which led him to lens more than a hundred campaigns around the globe for clients, including: Renault, Ray-Ban, Gucci, Spotify, Burger King, Yamaha, Zegna, Oysho, Shell, Engie, Nike, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Tampax, Golden Goose, Kia, Luxottica and Peugeot. Rather than following a standard and ordinary path in the industry, Stefano picked up a camera and starts making his own projects fascinated by the lives of “anonymous people” and their stories of marginality, Stefano starts making documentaries on celluloid. Stefano has worked all over the world, and his style is a unique blend of visuals and impressions he's encountered along the way. Stefano has made his directorial debut with the short film ISMA, shortlisted at Ciclope, featured on Director’s Library, and picked by Boooooom Magazine. Stefano has directed two short films and a bunch of music videos, he is currently writing his debut feature film as a director. Stefano is always around the globe shooting the next gig.
